Before mathematics

Engineer past

Before proofs and ramification theory, I studied mechanisms, machines, and how parts move together.

Five years, a difficult stretch, and one working conveyor.

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Đại học Bách Khoa Tp.HCM). It took me five years to complete the degree, after failing several courses—especially during my third and fourth years. Finishing it taught me persistence—and eventually led to a working pipe conveyor.

After graduating, I worked in mechanical design in Ho Chi Minh City for about a year. I specialized in injection molds for plastic components and also developed humanoid robot leg mechanisms.

My bachelor’s thesis, written in Vietnamese, concerned the design and construction of a model pipe conveyor. The model worked.
